1. What Kind of Spindles Come With Your CNC Routers?
A: Our CNC routers are outfitted with either HSD 9kw 24,000 rpm ER 32 from Italy or Insung 7.5kw 24,000 rpm ER 32 from Korea. All spindles are top quality performers in the industry.
2. Are Your CNC Machines Compatible With Other Software?
A: Our machines are compatible with all design software, some examples Rhino, ArtCam, Type 3, AlphaCam, MasterCam, etc. Basically, anything that runs on standard G code should be compatible.
3. What Kind of Vacuum Pump Option Do You Offer?
A: Our standard offer is a Becker KVT 3.14. Vacuum Pump and Ring Blower HRB 900 8.6 Kw. There are many models and sizes ranging from 3HP for our small machines to 20HP for larger setups.
4. What type of graphics can I engrave and cut in laser machine?
A: You can engrave scanned photos, logos, bitmaps, other images, text, and AutoCAD files. Essentially, if you can print it, you can engrave it. To cut, you will need a vector based graphics, such as eps or illustrator file. Keep in mind the higher the quality of the graphic you’re working with, the better your engraving results.
5. Do I need separate laser system for engraving and cutting in laser machine?
A: No, one laser does it all! Our CO2 laser systems will engrave and cut most non-metallic materials, as well as engrave coated metals. For information on what materials you can engrave and cut. The laser can be set to engrave only (Raster Mode), cut only (Vector Mode), or can complete both operations in Combined Mode. The laser knows what portions to engrave and what portions to cut based on line width, which is easily set in your graphic design software.
6. Can I paint over Styrofoam with any type of paint?
A: You can paint over Styrofoam only with water-based paint, including latex and acrylics (ones that do not contain petroleum). Oil-based or spray paint will “eat” and melt the foam. The only way to paint Styrofoam with oil-based paint would be to use hard coating over the foam, and then you can paint over the coating with any type of foam including oil-based, water-based or automotive paint.
7. What types of foam can be cut with your hot wire cutters?
A: Many types of rigid and soft foams can be cut with our hot wire cutters, however due to the chemicals in many of these foams that off-gas when cutting, we only recommend cutting the following types of foams: Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and Extruded Polystyrene (XPS).
8. How does UV curing compare to solvent technologies?
A: The pigment of solvent-based inks is suspended in a volatile solvent. When solvent-based inks are printed, they erode the surface of the material to create a chemical bond between the ink and the substrate. During the curing process, the solvent evaporates, leaving the pigment behind. It is the solvent evaporating that produces the unpleasant and potentially harmful fumes during printing and post-curing. In addition, the waste solvent must be collected and disposed of properly. The UV inks used in Our Machine are 100% solid-curing and are VOC-free. Curing of these inks by the UV lamps creates a strong mechanical bond that is extremely flexible and immediately usable. Another big advantage of UV ink is reduced head maintenance and failures compared to solvent systems. UV inks remain liquid until exposed to intense UV light. Less clogged nozzles means less downtime, less waste and more time printing sellable output.
9. What RIP vendors support our Printing Machine?
A: All the printers are currently compatible with the following RIP vendors: Photo print and Wasatch.
10. What is involved in daily maintenance on your Printing Machine?
A: On our printing machine require very little daily maintenance. At the start and end of each day and after every four hours printing, the operator should clean and wipe the print heads to prevent ink build-up. Cleaning the print heads is a simple procedure that only takes a few minutes.
11. What site prep is required for your machine?
A: There is very limited site preparation required before our machine arrives at your doorstep. Our machine Pre-Installation Requirements will be email once you confirm to our machine.
12. Do You Offer A Warranty?
A: Yes, a one year warranty on parts which is the industry standard except printing head.
